Presentation

The Erasmus+ Program is a program financed by the European Union, developed for education, training, youth and sport for the period 2021 to 2027 and aims to enhance the personal and professional development of all citizens, to strengthen European identity, sustainable growth, social cohesion and people's employability, equity and social inclusion.

In terms of Higher Education, the Erasmus+ Program, within the scope of its Key Action 1, allows mobility activities to be carried out between European higher education institutions, specificaly for students, teaching and non-teaching staff, for periods of learning, teaching and training, in higher education institutions in Europe.

Through the Erasmus+ Program, universities can also participate in transnational partnerships with the rest of the world, aimed at innovation, modernization and internationalization of higher education, through the development of cooperation and innovation projects.

Furthermore, this action supports blended intensive programmes, enabling groups of higher education institutions to jointly develop curricular programmes and blended mobility activities for students, as well as for teaching and non-teaching staff.
